With fantasy football officially behind us, it’s time to prepare for the 2021 season. This past week I have collected some data which includes draft results, season long stats and fantasy points for most players.
Today I will start with QB’s. My data will include every QB that was drafted in our league as well as any QB that finished in the Top 25 that was not originally drafted. A few QB’s were injured (Dak, Burrow, Brees) players being benched (Fitzpatrick, Minshew and Wentz) but that’s fantasy. Below is the list I have compiled and what round they were drafted.

Josh Allen looks to be the best value play at QB this year with 442 fantasy points, falling 4 points behind Patrick Mahomes’ league leading 446 fantasy points. He was drafted in the 6th round where we also saw Deshaun Watson 400 FP, Matt Ryan 302 FP and Dak Prescott 168 FP.
Justin Herbert is the most notable undrafted QB finishing as QB9 this year. I predict he will be going in the 5/6th round next year in that 2nd tier of QB’s.
A strategy I like to use when drafting is waiting on a QB since you only get to start 1 per week. The difference between QB1 Mahomes (446) and QB12 Ben Roethlisberger (313) comes out to 8.91 points per game. Mahomes averaged 29.78 points per game and Big Ben 20.87 points per game. As you’ll see later on the difference between QB’s is very slim compared to RB’s which I why I value them so highly, plus you can start up to 3 weekly.
