Sunday Championship Preview

We are in for a treat today with 4 of the best Quarterbacks going at it. Old vs Old and Young vs Young. Josh Allen vs Patrick Mahomes get used to hearing those two names together as we have at least 10 years of exciting matchups on the way.

In our first matchup we have Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs Green Bay Packers (-3) O/U 53. Nothing screams playoff football quite like Lambeau field. There was snow overnight in Green Bay but no snow is expected to fall during the game. It will be a clear and cool 30 degrees at kickoff.

Tom Brady vs Aaron Rodgers. Green Bay’s offense has been unstoppable all year, averaging 31.8 PPG. You know who was second? That’s right Tompa Bay, they finished with 30.8 PPG. Green Bay has scored less than 20 points just once all season! Of course that game was against TB in a 38-10 rout early this season, Rodgers had his worst game of the year and threw a couple picks. I don’t expect a repeat of that this time around.

Both teams are playing their best football which is why they’re both in the NFC championship game. In order for Tampa to win this game they’re going to need to make some plays on defense which they’ve been able to do all season. I don’t see Rodgers having another bad game against this defense. I like GB, the line is (-3) I don’t like buying points but I can see this one coming down to the wire buy the half point and take GB (-2.5). With the 2 highest scoring teams in football that screams over right? I think points will come at a premium today but I lean with the over, I trust Brady and Rodgers to make plays. Final prediction 27-24 GB.

In the AFC Championship we have the Buffalo Bills vs Kansas City Chiefs (-3) O/U 54.5. In both games we see very similar lines. Two of the strongest arms going head to head. Just like the NFC championship game, these teams met earlier this season as well. KC won the game 26-17 in Orchard Park, the only game Buffalo lost at home all season.

Everyone has been doubting the reigning Super Bowl champs because they haven’t been covering the spread. KC doesn’t care about covering the spread all that matters is winning games and they’ve been really good at that the past 2 years. Mahomes is 24-1 in his last 25 games dating back to last season!

As a Dolphins fan I hate to admit it, but I love what Josh Allen has been doing he’s the real deal. This is going to be an exciting game, but in the playoffs experience wins games. KC is in their 3rd straight AFC championship game and 1 offsides away from back to back Super Bowl appearances. I like Buffalo but this KC team is loaded and they’re a tough out especially at home. Give me the Chiefs 1H I think they come out strong early. Buffalo will fight back and keep it interesting but the I think the chiefs ultimately win this one. 31- 24 KC.
